Our Mission Statement
The Canadian Caribbean Association of Halton exists to unite, educate, and inspire.
We do this through four foundational pillars that guide everything we do: Education, Culture, Community and Harmony
Community
We are dedicated to delivering programs and events that foster meaningful community engagement and enhance awareness of Caribbean history and culture across the Halton Region.
Culture
We promote Caribbean culture and history by celebrating our rich diversity and fostering inclusiveness through a variety of programs and initiatives across the Halton Region aimed at building greater awareness and stronger community connections.
Education
We partner with organizations in Halton Region to empower youth through leadership development and Caribbean cultural education. Our goal is to empower youth to reach their full potential.
Harmony
We value togetherness and engage with individuals and groups from diverse backgrounds through our programs and initiatives. Through this work, we aim to build inclusive communities and support cross-cultural collaboration.
Our Four Pillars
These are the core pillars on which our organization is built upon.
Bringing People Together, One Event at a Time
Community
Whether it’s a cultural festival, a community forum, a heritage showcase, or a youth program, our events create real opportunities for residents of all backgrounds to connect, learn, and grow together. Everyone is welcome. Every voice matters.
Celebrating the Richness of Afro-Caribbean Heritage
Culture
From music and dance to art, food, and storytelling, our cultural initiatives are designed to showcase the contributions of the Afro-Caribbean community — and to create moments of connection, pride, and discovery for everyone who participates. Because when one community’s culture is celebrated, the whole community is enriched.
Learning That Opens Minds and Builds Bridges
Education
Our goal is simple: to create supportive, engaging spaces where students feel seen, curious, and connected. By bringing diverse perspectives directly into schools, we’re not just teaching history — we’re helping shape a generation that leads with empathy and understanding.
Research, Awareness, and the Path to True Inclusion
Harmony
By contributing to this body of knowledge, we help equip community leaders, organizations, and residents with the tools and understanding needed to build a region where every person — regardless of background — feels a genuine sense of belonging.
